Financial Reporting Supervisor – Global Industry Leader!
Location – Western Suburbs of Philadelphia

Industry leading global manufacturer with over $5B in annual revenue has a newly created opportunity to join a dynamic corporate accounting & finance team based within the company's corporate HQ outside of Philadelphia.  The Financial Reporting Supervisor will be responsible for the Company’s financial reporting function, including both internal and external reporting, and the supervision of two staff, one senior analyst and one analyst. The Financial Reporting Supervisor is also expected to gain knowledge of the Company’s accounting policies, processes, and controls, and to build relationships with the accounting team as well as other departments as a “go-to person” for questions and guidance. This opportunity will offer a base compensation of $120,000 – $140,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits.  


Essential Job Functions:

  • Review financial statements, related schedules, and variance analysis for the monthly financial reporting package; attend and participate in monthly and quarterly financial review meetings with management
  • Draft and review quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings; review all footnotes and schedules, update/write relevant disclosures, and coordinate draft comments
  • Review financial statement disclosure checklists and tie-out support binders for each filing
  • Review financial statements and footnotes for 10-Q/K filings
  • Assist the finance team with debt compliance filings, press releases, and board presentations
  • Assist the legal group with the annual proxy statement and all registration statements
  • Coordinate with independent auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and the annual audit and to ensure timely delivery of information and completion of work
  • Review monthly journal entries, primarily related to restricted stock and derivatives
  • Maintain current understanding of GAAP and SEC guidelines; research technical accounting issues, reach conclusions regarding accounting and disclosure, and present findings
  • Maintain accounting policies binder
  • Maintain SOX controls
  • Handle special projects, as necessary


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • 3 plus years of public accounting experience or equivalent
  • Broad exposure to financial reporting, SEC filings and the external audit process
  • Public accounting and oil and gas industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excel proficient
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
